Richard Hammond posting some old bits on his YouTube channel. UPDATE: not Hammond

Update: it appears that this channel is not Hammond's. Rookie mistake by me as fairly pointed out on Reddit.

The Grand Tour is set to start broadcasting in a little more than a month now, where Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond will be back to do one of the best motoring and entertainment shows of all time, certainly.

The hamster started posting some snippets of this new show, but i discovered yesterday that he is posting some unseen footage from Top Gear episodes.

VR racing is da bomb

I saw these two videos recently and my desire to play racing games with virtual reality (VR) just increased.

Since VR started becoming a reality, i was thrilled by the possibility of looking around. Yes, VR is great for playing lots of things, and shooters are a very interesting possibility, but i love racing more than anything and to play sitting down is more appealing.

So, looking around. I was worried that the gameplay would become a little jerky, shaking a lot. You can see that in one of the videos but it's just for a moment.

This first one is short and sweet. The guy is amazed playing Driveclub VR with a PS4 and a steering wheel:

I don't expect much from Driveclub, but this makes me want to try it more.

The second one is a full 12 lap race in Assetto Corsa, using a PC VR rig and the Thrustmaster T300 racing wheel. This guy is good, especially because he talks us through the whole race and does a really great piece of driving:

I want to have a steering wheel again so bad, and now i need a VR too.

2 or 4 door cars are stupid

Good car, Skoda Rapid
I used to think that saloon cars were stupid, but now i know the truth. The problem is not having a
hatch in the back.

My first two cars were estate cars. Not big ones, but small hatchbacks with a little more room. They were brilliant: i slept in them, carried sofas and drum sets, could travel with lots of unnecessary items and had a small and nimble car for city driving. It's a real shame small estates are practically extinct.

Then i had a saloon car. Its boot had a good size but i couldn't even place my grocery bags inside properly, since the boot lid was so small. It was like a tanker lorry: i could carry many litters of something, if it could get inside by a little hole at the top of it. Good for petrol, water or beer. Not so much for suitcases or bicycles.

Fiat 500 can be cute, aggressive and all in between

I recently drove a Fiat 500c across England and it got me thinking: why this car is so cool? I guess we know for a fact that it is a good car, but it appeals to a lot of people in different ways, that's why.

Sheryl Crow and a Fiat gave me a moment of happiness

I just watched this TED Talk by a designer saying how design can make you happy. One of his stories made me relive one of the moments of my life that i felt real happiness.

He made a list of happy moments and after highlighted those that had a part of it attributed to design. One of them occurred when he borrowed a motorcycle and drove trough some great roads listening to the new album of The Police with his new Sony´s Walkman. So he cites the part of those two products on his happy moment.

Mitsubishi 2014 All New Outlander: would you like to know more?

Last week i helped some friends to choose and buy a new car and the winner was the All New Outlander 2.0, from Mitsubishi.

The car is a SUV or a Crossover, denpending on who describes it, and, as of today, is a recent model, lacking information, pictures and videos on the interwebs. So i like to ask if anyone here wants to know something specific about this car, because i´m thinking about doing some videos and pictures showing how some of his stuff works. Anyone?
